Message from Gideon Yago to YOU: Be Proactive (not the facewash)

Gideon Yago just finished his speech on why young people should get involved in local, state and national politics. As you probably know, Gideon was an MTV News correspondent and did a lot of news coverage for them on the 2000 election, the Iraq war and more.

I thought his speech was really important, especially now, in a turning-point year. But here’s what he said that I thought was most important: don’t wait for something to hit you, or for something bad to happen to the country. Pay attention, be proactive and focus real hard on NOT tuning things out. Because it’s really easy to tune out important info.

I also got an interview with him at Convention, so we should have that up very soon!
