First Book, a nonprofit dedicated to children’s literacy, is coming back to our annual convention. This year, we are teaming up with them to help raise money and awareness of children’s literacy. When you register for Convention you can give a small donation right on the sign-up page. Every dollar you give provides one book for a child in need.
Most of us take for granted the fact that we can have and read books of our own. For many kids, this isn’t the case. Books are something that they can only use at school and the library. First Book is aimed at changing that, and NSCS members are showing their commitment to helping out. It’s amazing how little money it takes to really make a difference.
So sign up for Convention, and when you do, don’t forget to give a little back.
